SERVING

The Bible teaches that every Christ follower is indwelled by the Holy Spirit and thereby possesses one or more spiritual gifts. The Cowboy Church offers a wide variety of groups and activities in which you can share your gifts in service to the Lord and others.

Prayerfully review the list of ministries below and find a place to serve God and others at The Cowboy Church!

MUSIC & SOUND
MINISTRY LEADer: Greg Blake | 763-434-5596

Individuals who are musically gifted and want to share their talents singing and/or playing a musical instrument during Sunday services and other church activities. We share the Good News of Jesus Christ through a variety of music, including country, gospel, and old-time hymns. We practice every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm.

If you have a background in sound/media production, you would work closely with the music leader in producing the best possible worship experience for our guests.

GREETING MINISTRY - HOSPITALITY
Ministry Leader: TRUDY BLAKE | 763-434-5596

Greeters are the first and last people a guest will see when visiting a church. Greeters provide visitors with information about The Cowboy Church, set up our treats and coffee, and cover the Welcome Desk to answer questions and provide free gifts to first-time guests.

USHERS MINISTRY - HOSPITALITY
MINISTRY LEAD: Mike Smith 763-434-5596

Ushers are the first and last people a guest will see when visiting a church. Ushers welcome guests into the worship service and wish them a blessed week when they leave. They also serve as security oversight, receive the tithes and offerings, distribute the communion elements, and maintain a clean and organized service area.

CHUCK WAGON FOOD SERVICE

If you like to bake, cook, and grill, this is the place for you! Support various church functions that require food service and/or setup such as Sunday service treats, potluck Sunday, church activity nights, fundraising concessions, weddings, funerals, and outreach efforts that support the community, such as the NACE food shelf, providing home-cooked meals, offering prayer and companionship for someone struggling with illness or loss, etc.

HOUSEKEEPING MINISTRY

The Housekeeping Team has a passion for keeping The Cowboy Church clean and inviting for guests and activities. Includes cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, picking up, trash removal, etc. of our bathrooms, sanctuary, kitchens, class and meeting rooms, and stocking cleaning products as needed. Volunteers are needed to serve weekly, every other week, monthly, or even to just be a substitute for when our regulars take vacation.

FACILITIES, MAINTENANCE & SPECIAL PROJECTS

Facilities/Maintenance:
Are you a jack of all trades and mechanically inclined? This team works together for weekly/monthly/annual maintenance and repair of the interior/exterior of our building and grounds. Some tasks include: storage room upkeep, pest control, water/septic/fire/heating/cooling systems oversight, building security, lighting, recycling, waste management, flag, and grounds care.

Special Projects:
If you have specialty skills such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, team up with the building team throughout the year on larger maintenance or building projects such as new bathrooms, update kitchen, sanctuary lighting, drop ceilings in kids' rooms, outside signage, exterior fencing, and painting.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Preschool Age 2-5 Elementary K through Grade 5
Ministry Lead: Kayla Christensen | 763-434-5596

We partner with parents in teaching kids to know. love, and serve Jesus as they grow on the Trail to Discipleship. Each Sunday morning, children dive into God's Word as they are taught a Bible lesson in a fun and age-appropriate way. Kids are exposed to an array of activities and, most importantly, learn about Jesus and His love for them! Come and help lead little lives to our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Note: Background checks are required for everyone working in the children's ministry.

DONATION STEWARDS
Ministry Lead: Steve Atchison | 763-434-5596

The donation stewards meet weekly after Sunday service to prepare the weekly offerings deposit. This requires counting, creating a receipt and deposit register, and making copies. If you have a bookkeeping background, are organized and/or have a head for numbers, this is your place to serve!

FUNDRAISING & ACTIVITIES MINISTRY
